Today, I’m gonna talk about how to disaster-proof your webinar. When you do a live webinar, many things can go wrong. Sometimes your screen freezes, or you lose connection altogether. There’s also times when your signal staggers so that your voice is kinda funky sounding, it kinda screws up your voice too. So you encounter many audio and video problems during a live webinar. Well, today, we are going to disaster-proof that by doing a pre-recording instead of a live webinar. Or the other thing is, you might be feeling stressed and overwhelmed by the thought of hosting a live webinar.
So, this is where pre-recording your webinar event can help. Here are a couple other benefits about pre-recording your webinar is you’ll have more control over the content, so that when you record your webinar beforehand you have the opportunity to review and edit the content to make sure it’s exactly how you want it to be presented. This is especially helpful if you have a lot of information to cover and want to make sure you don’t leave anything out.
Another thing is the flexibility with scheduling. So, with the pre-recorded webinar, you can schedule it to be available any specific time or date, or on-demand. Sometimes, you can even make it an evergreen content, which means it’ll replay whenever you schedule it for the future and it doesn’t expire. The other thing would be, guess what? What I just kinda mentioned, avoiding technical issues! So, you don’t want technical issues to be disrupting your presentation. So then, you have the time when you pre-record your event to test your equipment, to test your mic, to test your video if you’re using a video, and then smoothing everything out before you record your pre-recorded event.
And then, you may have a greater reach. With a pre-recorded webinar, you can actually reach a wider audience by making it available on-demand. This way, it allows people in different time zones or with busy schedules to watch the webinar that is convenient time for them. So, I think one of the best ways to do a webinar is to disaster-proof it by having a pre-recorded event, making everything more flexible with scheduling, fewer technical issues to worry about, and the thought of hosting a live webinar? Well, that’s fine, you don’t have to worry about that anxiety or nervousness.
So, this was a quick podcast about disaster-proofing your webinar. Well, I hope that was helpful, and if you have any questions about webinars, please feel free to contact me at my website, and join me next week on a discussion on how to choose the right webinar hosting platform for your business.
