Reset Your Spiritual Health

Episode #65

Show Notes:

Just like we take care of our physical bodies, taking care of our spirituality is so important for our minds. It helps us reset our stress levels and taking care of our inner needs both physically and emotionally, whether you believe in God, a Creator, spirituality or not. I believe it affects both how we feel inside too.

Hi. In today’s episode, we’re going to talk about how to reset your spiritual health.

[Music intro]

This podcast is about entrepreneurship, spirituality, and self-care. My name is Lourdes, and I am the host of this show. Thank you for listening today!

Okay, so I said in today’s episode we’ll be discussing how to reset your spiritual health. Now, spirituality is a very important aspect of our lives that can help us find meaning, purpose, and direction. But, like any other aspect of our health, our spiritual health can sometimes become unbalanced, leading to some feelings of disconnection, some confusion, and even despair. So, let’s take a look at our current spiritual state.

I will be asking some questions. Are you feeling disconnected from spirituality? Are you struggling to find meaning and purpose in your life? Are you feeling lost or unsure of your direction? It’s important to be honest with ourselves and acknowledge where you are right now.

So next, let’s identify any spiritual practice that have worked in the past for you. Perhaps you used to meditate regularly, or maybe you found solace in prayer. Whatever it is, try to remember what helped you feel more connected to your spirituality, and incorporate those practices back into your life.

Another important step in resetting your spiritual health is to examine your beliefs and values. Are they still aligned with your current sense of self and purpose, or have they changed over time? It’s okay to reassess, and it’s okay to even change your beliefs and your values as you grow and evolve. We all change!

And if you do not have any spiritual practices, it’s never too late to start. There are countless ways to connect with your spirituality, such as meditation, prayer, yoga, mindfulness, or even just spending time in nature. Experiment with different practices until you find what resonates with you!

So alright, let’s get into how we can research our spiritual health and get back on track. And here are some tips on how to reset our spiritual health, spirituality benefits, and start feeling good again.

And in the first step, the first step should be to reset our spiritual health to acknowledge that we need to focus on it. We need to recognize that we are feeling spiritually depleted, and that we need to take the time and the action to restore our connection to our higher selves, to nature, and to the universe. In other words, maybe you’re feeling like there’s something missing. Perhaps you feel that an old part of you is gone. That right now, you don’t really feel like yourself. Do you know what I mean? Like you’ve lost who you really are. And this is an example of your spirituality needs work.

So let’s move on to our second step, and that is to make time for spiritual practice in our daily lives. This could be anything from meditation, prayer, and yoga, or even going on nature walks. Whatever your spiritual practice is that resonates with you, make that time for you today.

So for example, when I mentioned spending time in nature. It can be a great way to connect with your spirituality. You can go for a walk in the woods, sit by a river or by a lake, or simply just spend time in your backyard. This can help you feel grounded and connected to something greater than yourself.

And I also mentioned meditation. So practice mindfulness meditation. Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment, and paying attention to your thoughts and feelings without judging it. Practicing mindfulness can help you connect with your spirituality and make you more aware of your needs. If you regularly meditate every day, it’s a great way to connect with your spirituality and find inner peace. Set a time each day to meditate and focus on your breath. This can help you clear your mind and release negative energy.

I know when I meditate, my mind is coming in with many different thoughts, things that I remember, they just come in as I’m sitting there trying to meditate. So to clear those thoughts out of my head, I realize that I’m having these thoughts, and I immediately start breathing and purposely paying attention to the breathing that I’m doing. It can be just your regular breathing in and out, just pay attention back to your breath. And that’s how you can concentrate or clear your mind or be mindful of your thoughts. Being mindful of your thoughts is to acknowledge a thought, but get back to clearing your mind again by focusing on your breath.

The third step is to find a community of like-minded people or individuals who share your spiritual beliefs. This could be anything from a church, a spiritual center, or even an online community. Being part of a community can provide support and encouragement, as well as opportunities to learn and grow spiritually.

I’ll soon be adding resources on my website at https://8thlevelpodcast.com that you can join for free with information on online communities.

The fourth step is to, guess what, practice gratitude! Gratitude is a very powerful spiritual practice that can help you feel more connected to the universe and increase your overall sense of well-being. Start with a gratitude journal, or simply take some time and take a few moments each day to reflect on the things that you are grateful for. Take time each day to reflect on the things and express your gratitude to those around you. This can help you cultivate a positive outlook and feel more connected to the world around you.

The fifth step is to let go of negative thoughts and emotions. As we all know, negative thoughts and emotions can block our spiritual growth and prevent us from connecting with our higher selves. We can practice mindfulness meditation like I just spoke of a few seconds ago, and also doing some self-reflection to identify and release negative thoughts and emotions. And if you need help with this, contact me and let me know, I can help you with that too!

Finally, remember to be gentle with yourself throughout this whole process. Spiritual health is not something that can be achieved overnight, and it’s important that you are patient and kind to yourself as you work towards a healthier spiritual state.

And, resetting your spiritual health can be a transformative journey. It requires honesty, patience, and an openness to change. By being aware of your current mental and spiritual state, exploring new and old spiritual practices, examining your beliefs and values, seeking out community, and being gentle with yourself, you can get back on track and find renewed meaning and purpose in your life.

And now, I want to thank you for tuning in to my podcast, and I hope that these tips have been helpful in resetting your spiritual health. Remember, prioritize your spiritual well-being, and may you find peace and fulfillment on your spiritual journey.
